Harry Richard, 88, of Sulphur, La. passed away surrounded by his loving family on Nov. 16, 2022.
Harry was born on Oct. 12, 1934, in Sulphur, La. to Joseph Alduce and Rose Richard. Harry enjoyed watching golf, fishing, and being around family and friends the most. He was a lifelong resident of Sulphur, La. and worked in the petrochemical industry as a pipefitter and later a draftsman.
Those left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Jack Richard and wife Vickie, and Mark Lyons and wife Mary; two daughters, Laura Melancon and husband Paul, and Tracy Wilburn and husband David; one brother, Ernie Richard; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild and one on the way; daughter-in-laws, Denise Lyons and Millie Richard.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Sara Richard; parents; two brothers, Joseph “Curtis” Richard and Terry Richard; three sisters, Mildred Perry, Ethlyn Abshire, Madge Hessifer; and two sons, Grady Brent Richard and Allen Ray Lyons.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday Nov. 21, 2022, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with a rosary being prayed at 11:30 a.m. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of services on Monday at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Burial will be a Mimosa Pines South. Fr. Carlos Garcia will officiate services.
We would like to thank the staff at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital, Stonebridge Place and Harbor Hospice of Lake Charles for the great care they provided for Harry and the support for our family.
