Terry passed in peace on Friday, Oct. 21, 2022, at the age of 69. Born Jan. 31, 1953, in Leesville, La., to Robert and Johnnie Lavada Paliwoda. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and step-father, William Koenck. He is survived by his partner of 19 years, Karla Bea Tansey; siblings, Michael Van Paliwoda, Tonya McKee and Edwin Koenck; children Kristen, Bridget and Charlotte; and step-daughter, Victoria Lynn Tansey; grandchild, Josephine Denine Jasper.
He attended Northwestern State University of Louisiana majoring in the seven fine arts. He moved to Texas with his brother, Michael in 1972, where he later ran a private construction business for over 30 years. As an avid amateur archaeologist he traveled to Belize and Guatemala as well as throughout Texas and Louisiana. He was most proud of his family, friends and the community he served.
A memorial service will be held on Nov. 20, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Lott Hall, 6201 Hermann Park Dr., Houston, TX 77030. The family extends an invitation to all that wish to remember Terry well.
