Madeline met the love of her life, James Savoie, when she was 16 at South Cameron High school. They married April 22, 1972, and together had their daughter, Candice.
Madeline lived her life in service of making a difference in other people’s lives. She was the ray of sunshine in the lives of troubled children and adolescents and provided relief from the pain and provided hope for the future. To Madeline, that was sufficient. Her life was rich and full of experiences as she as she traveled out of the country, introducing a deep level of ambassadorship. She gave of herself to others by giving her time, energy and love to her family and friends. She set goals and accomplished them as she moved forward making her dreams her reality.
Madeline was very fond of the beach and all of the wonders it offered. The sights, the comforting sound of the waves and the sand beneath her feet were some of her favorite experiences. Family was a major component of her life. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She loved to create memories with her family in the form of family gatherings that involved cooking a meal for them. She was very passionate about dancing and won a world dancing championship in 2002 in the Netherlands. She was known to tell people she was a “Get r’ done” woman!
She lived her life fully and passionately.
She is welcomed into paradise by her parents, and her in-laws, James and Cecile Savoie.
