Whether your favorite is Snickers, M&M’s or Skittles, all candy lovers are invited to come out to the Downtown Candy Crawl this weekend, hosted by the Lake Charles Downtown Business Association.
Local vendors will be passing out candy and other and goodies at the Candy Crawl Block Party located on the 300 block of Broad Street on Saturday, Oct. 29. The event will feature live music, craft vendors, and a surprise grand finale at dusk.
Live music and craft vendors will take place 3 to 7 p.m. Performances include Brandon Broussard and Chez De Bon Temps, a traditional Cajun band; Acoustic Pie, a local band specializing in classic rock; and the St. Louis Catholic High School Show Choir. Lake Charles Dance Academy and Lake Area Ballet Theatre will be putting on a Halloween-themed performance, as well.
The candy crawl is 4:30 to 7 p.m., with a trunk or treat put on specially by Seven Slot Society of SWLA.
Maps of the candy crawl are available at Panorama Music House and on the Lake Charles Downtown Business Association social media accounts. To sign up to pass out candy, be a vendor, or be featured on their Crawl Map, contact Sara Lasher at 337-842-8198, or at sara@saralasher.com.
