Billie Jean LeBleu Johnson Parks, 84 years old, passed away Monday, Oct. 17, 2022, with her loving family by her side. She was born on Aug. 18, 1938, to Frank and Georgia Hebert LeBleu in Lake Charles, La.
Billie graduated from Iowa High School. She retired after 30 years of service as Manager of the Cosmetics Department of Riff’s Department Store in Lake Charles. She was a proud member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed traveling, and most of all she loved spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a genuine, friendly lady of style and grace, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Sandra Credit (Michael) of Mesa, Ariz., and Rebecca Deshotel (Louis) of Lake Charles; three grandchildren, Bryan Ortego, Joshua Deshotel and Benjamin Deshotel; four great-grandchildren, Sebastian and Zachary Ortego, and London and Audrey Deshotel; three stepchildren, Linda Gibson (Gerald), Ken Parks (Shaun) and Robbie Parks (Ruth); nine step grandchildren; and 19 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 42 years, J.R. Johnson; her husband of 13 years, Robert Parks; her grandson, Shannon Ortego; and her stepson, Danny Parks.
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022, in the Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles Chapel. Burial will follow in LeBleu Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m.
