Lee Ella Guidry

Lee Ella Guidry, age 87, of Sulphur, La., passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022.
She was a native of Lake Arthur, and had been a resident of Sulphur for nearly 70 years. Lee was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church and was previously a member of the St. Theresa Altar Society. She enjoyed watching WWE wrestling and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her son, Ronnie Joseph Guidry of Lake Charles; her sister-in-law, Mildred Linscombe of Sulphur; her granddaughter, Tonja Guidry Lavan of Sulphur; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her grand-dog, Sookie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glady Guidry; her son, Russell Guidry; her sisters, Joyce Duplechain and Gretta Faye Desormeaux; and a grandson, James Guidry, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 21, in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. The Rev. Edward Richard, MS, will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday with a rosary service at 6 p.m. and from 8:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. The family would like to give special thanks to Deannie and Dale O’Quain for providing such wonderful care of Lee, Kenny Phipps for all of his generous support, and Sharon Bufford for always being there for the family.
