Halliburton to lead foundation
Lake Charles Memorial Health System welcomes Sol Halliburton as the new executive director of the Foundation at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.
She oversees the strategic development and direction of philanthropic partnerships with the community and generous donors. The Foundation at LCMH supports the health system’s mission through the advancement of patient programs, services and state of the art technology.
She brings more than 30 years of global experience in non-profit, health care, hospitality and online retail industries, as well as, an extensive background in fundraising.
The past seven years she has served as the executive director of Johnston Health UNC in Smithfield, N.C. Prior to that, she held the positions of development director for the Sandhills N.C. Region of the American Heart Association in Morrisville, N.C., and senior community manager for the American Cancer Society in Raleigh.
Her educational background includes a Bachelor’s of Science in commerce, major in management information systems from Assumption College in San Lorenzo Makati City, Philippines, a special events management at the NYU School of Continuing Professional Studies and a certificate in fundraising.
She is one of 7,600 fundraising professionals from over 25 countries who are currently Certified Fund Raising Executives. The CFRE is the only accredited, globally recognized certification for fundraising professionals.
Richard joins JD Bank
JENNINGS — JD Bank is pleased to welcome Tyler Richard to its commercial lending Tteam. Richard will serve as AVP commercial lender in our Lake Charles market and work with customers throughout Southwest Louisiana to help them meet their financial goals through the financing of commercial projects including real estate, equipment, operating lines of credit, and many other business needs.
His office is located at the Nelson Road Branch, 4400 Nelson Road in Lake Charles.
Born and raised in Moss Bluff, Richard is a graduate of Sam Houston High School and Sowela Technical Community College. He began his banking career in 2017 as a commercial relationship manager with Iberia Bank.
Active in the community, Richard is a board member for the Literacy Council of SWLA and a member of the Greater Lake Charles Rotary Club. He is a 2020 graduate of Leadership Southwest, an annual development program of the SWLA Economic Development Alliance designed to prepare emerging civic leaders.
Bruchhaus to join Broussard Group
Ken Broussard, CPA of The Broussard Group, LLC is excited to announce that Karl Bruchhaus, CPA, will be joining The Broussard Group, LLC as chief financial officer in July 2022.
The Broussard Group is a locally owned family business comprised of 17 companies that has become a regional financial, health care, and technology-based enterprise.
Bruchhaus is a certified public accountant and McNeese State University graduate that served as the CFO of Calcasieu Parish School Board for 18 years before becoming the superintendent for eight years.
He received the State Educator of the Year award in 2018 and the Cypress Award for Lifetime Achievement by the Louisiana Association of School Business Officials. The Cypress award is presented to LASBO members who have best exemplified the LASBO spirit of excellence and cooperation during their career.
He was a guest speaker for the National Public Risk Management Association, the Louisiana Certified Public Accountants, Louisiana Head Start Association, McNeese State University Strategic Planning, and National Emergency Management Association.
He volunteered with the Jennings Kiwanis Club, the Abbeville Kiwanis Club, the Vermillion Boys and Girls Club, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Jefferson Davis Parish.
