Rashad Bolden verbally commits to Cowboys

Just a week after visiting campus and a week before signing day, McNeese State got a big verbal commitment.

Rashad Bolden verbally committed to the Cowboys Monday according to sources. 

On verbalcommits.com next to Bolden’s name it reads committed to McNeese.

Bolden is a transfer at Southern Mississippi where he started 30 of the 33 games for the Golden Eagles. 

The 6-foot freshman averaged 6.8 points a game while playing almost 27 minutes. He also averaged 1.8 assists and 1.6 rebounds.

Bolden had a career-high 29 points back in November against North Carolina-Wilmington.

Bolden becomes the second known commit to McNeese, joining 6-6 swingman Roberts Berze committed to play basketball next season at McNeese. 

Berez, a second-year freshman averaged 10.7 points a game last season at Eastern Florida State College. In December he made nine 3-pointers in a game to set a school record. 

Berez, a native of Sigulda, Latvia, shot 36.2 percent from 3-point range last season and made 84.1 percent of his free throws. He has three years left of eligibility.
