A tornado watch has been issued for much of Southwest Louisiana as the threat for severe weather continues.
These tornadoes would have the potential to be stronger than EF2, according to Roger Erickson, warning coordination meteorologist with the National Weather Service’s Lake Charles office.
EF2-designated tornadoes have a 111–135 mph reach.
Erickson also warned of the possibility of damaging winds and large hail, in addition to a very high rain rate that could cause temporary flooding of roads.
