“Well I’ll Be Blessed”

Nathaniel P. Guillory Sr., 62, of Lake Charles, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 27, 2022 in his residence surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born on May 26, 1959 in Lake Charles, La., to Edmond Guillory and Irma Orphey. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children, grandkids, and “baby”. He also enjoyed MSU tailgating, helping others, working, and cutting grass. Mr. Guillory was a giver who opened his home and would always help someone in need. He worked for several years at the Lake Charles Housing Authority before going to work at McNeese State University where he enjoyed a 20 year career. He loved Lake Charles, it was his home!
He is survived by his children, Kimberly Guillory, Nathaniel P. Guillory Jr. (Whitney), and Amber Higginbotham (Michael); grandchildren, Jayden, Jordyn, Joseph, Paris, Kylin, Brileigh, Nathaniel P. Guillory III, Callie, Talaiyah, Tailyn, Tiana, and Xzavier; his only godchild, Jada Simon; siblings, Edward St. Mary (Laverne), Gwendolyn Griggs (Ray), John Matthew (Angela), MaryElla Harmon, Steven Guillory (Carolyn), Rize; and many other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmond Guillory and Irma Orphey; brothers, Larry Guillory and Gilbert “Pete” Guillory; beloved grandson, Josiah Anthony Spears; and many more loving relatives.
His funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 2 p.m. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from noon until the start of the service. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff.
