OBERLIN – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Tommy D. Germany, 85, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church on Friday, Jan. 7, 2022 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Fr. Clyde Thomas will officiate. Burial will follow at Campground Cemetery in Glenmora under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors in the Oberlin chapel of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home on Friday morning from 8:30 a.m. until the 11 o’clock service with the Holy Rosary being recited at 10:15 a.m.

Tommy was born on Sept. 4, 1936 in Glenmora. He honorably served our country in the U.S. Navy and then, graduated from U.S.L. From there, Tommy retired after educating students in Oberlin for 33 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Tommy’s memory include his devoted wife of 59 years, Sherry Germany of Oberlin; three children, Timothy Louis Germany and wife Jane of Orange, Texas, Teresa Zaunbrecher and husband,Russel of Lake Arthur, and Suzanne Germany of Lake Charles; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Vilulia Germany.
