Patricia Ann Williford

Patricia Ann Williford, 70, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021 at her home in Arlington, Texas. She was born on June 24, 1951 in Hobbs, New Mexico to John and Mary McRae Holston.

Patti grew up in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She graduated from LaGrange High School in Lake Charles in 1969.  After high school she attended Louisiana College in Pineville, Louisiana where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. 1973.  She attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort worth, Texas, and earned a Master’s Degree in Religious Education, 1977.  She attended Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas and earned a Master’s Degree in Childhood Education in 2007.  Her life’s work was varied as she was a Pastor’s wife, foreign missionary and educator for more than 50 years.

Patti married Bob Williford on January 2, 1971 in Groves, Texas. They were happily married for more than 50 years. Patti became a Baptized Believer in Jesus Christ into the membership of the First Baptist Church of Lake Charles, Louisiana as a 5 year-old in 1956.

Patti was preceded in death by her parents, John Holston, Sr.  and Mary Francis McRae Holston and a niece, Mallory Monroe.

Patti is survived by her spouse Bob Williford of Arlington, Texas; Robert and (Robin) Williford of Van Buren, Arkansas; David and (Lisa) Williford of Arlington, Texas; Greg and (Kae-La) Williford of Marshall, Texas; daughter, Rebecca Williford of Arlington, Texas. She has two siblings, John and (Susan) Holston and Mary and (Jeff) Monroe of Lake Charles, Louisiana. There are also six grandchildren, Joshua and Jessie Williford of Van Buren, Arkansas, Emory, Marcus and Laurel Williford of Arlington, Texas and Grant Williford of Marshall, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral service will be held at the Emerald Hills Funeral Home, 500 Kennedale Sublett Road in Kennedale, Texas at 1 PM on Friday, November 12, 2021. The service will be streamed from the Emerald Hills Funeral Home website: EmeraldHillsFueralHome.com. There will be no visitation and burial will follow at the Emerald Hills Cemetery.
