Barbara Perry

Barbara Darbonne Perry, age 83, of Sulphur, Louisiana
passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, July 28, 2021. Barbara was born on January 25, 1938 in Hackberry, Louisiana.
Barbara was a longtime member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church, the
Catholic Daughters of America, and a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary where she served as past President. Barbara worked for K&B Drugstore for many years, and retired from the Brumline Company in Sulphur where she was an industrial
seamstress. From dance to dance, Barbara enjoyed listening to her husband “Bubby” play his guitar. She was an excellent seamstress and loved sewing and crocheting.
Barbara loved to spend time with her family at gatherings, but
especially loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Barbara was preceded in death by her two granddaughters, Baylee C. Perry and Aleesha R. Perry, her parents, Harry and Ruby Darbonne, brother,
Willard Darbonne and wife, Rose, brother, Carl Leon “Pete” Darbonne, and brother, J. D. Darbonne.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 63 years, Gerald “Bubby” Perry of Sulphur, son, Darby Perry
and wife, Kim, daughters, Jinna Miller and husband, Kenny, and Donna Hanks and husband, Darrell all of Sulphur, daughter, Dana Hargrave and husband, Wendell of Abbeville, five grandchildren, Anna Catherine Perry, Tracy Tremont, Kayla Cannon and
husband, Brady, Kasie Falterman and husband, Chad, Kayne Hargrave and wife, Lyndsey, six great-grandchildren, Kylee, Tailan, Brecken, Briggs, Masen, and Davis, a sister, Diane Rountree and husband, Steve, sister-in-law, Gail Darbonne, brother-in-laws
& sister-in-laws of the Perry family, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Chapel with a Rosary beginning at 6:00
p.m. Visitation will resume at 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 2, 2021 at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Sulphur with
Rev. Andrews Kollannoor, M.S. officiating. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines North Cemetery in Sulphur, Louisiana.
Barbara’s family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Heart of Hospice for the loving care
given to them during this difficult time.
