Celebration of Life Services for Wilda Ann “Marie”
Ceasar, 70, will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 30 at Faith Deliverance Temple Church, 4772 Powell Rd, Elton, LA. Pastor Milton Clayton will officiate. Visiting will be in the church from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Face coverings and social distancing
guidelines must be followed. Burial will be in Eternal Rest Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, La.
Marie passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, at her residence in Lake Charles, La surrounded by
her family. She was born the tenth of 11 children to Earl and Rose Woods on January 13, 1951 in Elton, La. She was formerly married to the late Willie Joseph Ceasar and to this union four girls were born; Theresa (Bookie), Dorothy (Tina), and
Constance (Connie).
Marie received her formal education from the Jefferson Davis Parish School System. She was a Bus-Aid for the Calcasieu Parish School Board.
Marie leaves to cherish her memories, four loving daughters, Theresa
Neely of Lake Charles, La, Dorothy McClain of Pearland, Texas, Kimberly (Michael) Palmer, and Constance Ceasar of Lake Charles, La; eight grandchildren, Candace (Andrae) Mitchell, Mariah (Hakeem) Lucas, Deizarey (Arron) Young, Symone Ceasar, Lance
Ceasar of Lake Charles, La, Keylan Ceasar, Jalaisha McClain of San Antonio, Texas, and Clifton Neely IV of El Paso, Texas; one brother, Leonard Woods of Elton, La; three sisters, Laura Thierry, Lovenia (Fred) Comeaux of Lake Charles, La, and
Georgiana Simon of Elton, La; 11 great-grandchildren, Andrae Jr., Amiah, Aiden, Hakeem Jr., Greycen, Makayla, A’Nylah, Malik, Paisley, Peyton, and Samar; two godchildren, Gloria Viney and Roseann Actlis; two special sister-in-laws, Francis Winford of
San Diego, Ca and Sheila Fontenot-Ceasar of Crowley, La; two special friends, Marylyn Braxton of Tracy, Ca and Louana Brown of Lake Charles, La; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Marie was preceded in death by her
parents, Earl and Rose Woods; four brothers, Robert Woods, Leroy Woods, Earl Woods Jr., and Lawrence Woods; two sisters, Ida Mae Babineaux, and Geraldine Moreaux; one godchild, Ray Woods.
