GREENSBURG (AP) — The state Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control says The Oak Ridge Lounge, one of two strip clubs in St. Helena Parish, will be forbidden to sell liquor for eight weeks and must pay a $1,000 fine.

In addition, the club must pass an ATC inspection before it can reopen, according to an agreement reached between an attorney for the club and the state agency.

The Advocate reports the suspension of the Oak Ridge Lounge’s liquor license takes effect Monday.

ATC Commissioner Troy Hebert says the club was cited last month for unsanitary conditions, refilling premium liquor bottles with cheap liquor, selling tobacco without a permit and not purchasing alcohol from authorized wholesalers.
