ARCADIA (AP) — State Department of Education officials say they are investigating Gibsland-Coleman School in Bienville Parish after the school system self-reported a possible problem with its test scores.

The Times reports state officials were tight-lipped Thursday about details of the investigation. The newspaper reports Bienville Parish schools Superintendent William Britt declined Wednesday to discuss specifics of the probe other than to say Central Office administrators were looking into “testing irregularities.”

As a result of the investigation, Principal Kenneth Gipson retired and Vice Principal Yolanda Hampton resigned. Britt would not say if any teachers are targeted.
