Authorities identify body found in Leesville

Leesville authorities on Friday identified the deceased body found Thursday afternoon as 35-year-old Kenneth “Billy” Horn Jr.

Chief of Police Amanda Westmoreland said the investigation remains ongoing as detectives await autopsy results from the Vernon Parish Coroner’s Office.

Leesville police were alerted just before 1 p.m. Thursday when Horn’s body was discovered behind a business located on South 5th Street, but no other details have
been released.
