Gallery by the Lake has announced the opening of its latest group exhibition, “Celebrate!,” at the Historic City Hall Arts & Cultural Center, 1001 Ryan St.
The show, located in the second‑floor gallery, opens today and runs runs through Jan. 24, 2026.
Initiated by Gallery by the Lake, the exhibition is supported by the Arts and Humanities Council of Southwest Louisiana, the city of Lake Charles, and the Lake Charles Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Unlike the gallery’s usual themed or featured‑artist shows, “Celebrate!” brings together the full membership to showcase a wide range of new paintings, photographs and prints. The result is a vibrant collection designed to capture the spirit of the season.
“The work is on the colorful, festive side this time around,” said Gallery President Dan Plummer in a release. “It’s a great mood setter for the holiday season.”
The exhibition highlights the diversity of artistic voices within the gallery, offering visitors a chance to experience fresh perspectives and creative energy in one setting.
Several new members are debuting their work in this show. Erin Smith, Kayla Rutherford, and Jessica Rabel join the roster, bringing unique styles and approaches that expand the gallery’s offerings.
Admission is free, with hours Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
