Elista Elizabeth Domingue Price, 96, died at 7:46 a.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2025 in a local hospital.

Born in Scott, La. to Ellis Domingue and Edma Myers Domingue, Mrs. Price was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles and a graduate of LaGrange Senior High School.  She was a bus driver for the Calcasieu Parish School Board for 29 years, retiring in 1996.  She was also a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant and found joy and success in this endeavor.   

 She was a faithful member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters.  She was also a member of the W. B. Williamson Post 1 Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by three daughters, Angela Spears of Lake Charles, Sandra Istre of Lafayette, and Mary Anne Widgeon, also of Lake Charles; one son, Raymond J. Price and wife, Laurie, of Lake Charles; brother, William “Bill” Domingue of Lake Charles; three sons-in-law, E. J. Duhon of Reeves, Randy Rougeau of Lake Charles, and Gerald Istre of Lafayette; 28 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Charles Price; three daughters, Kathleen Duhon, Nanette Rougeau, and Bernadette Price; sisters, Nola Harvey, Doris Fontenot, Betty Amy and Delores Domingue; two brothers, Willie Domingue and Hubert Domingue; and three grandchildren, Baby Raymond Price, Charles Duhon, and Michelle Rougeau.  

A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 28, 2025 at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church.  Monsingor Jace Eskind will officiate.  Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.  Visitation will begin on Sunday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 6 p.m.  Visitation will continue on Monday from 8 a.m. until leaving for the church at 9:30 a.m.
