Tammy Darlene Hudgins

Tammy Darlene Hudgins, 66, of Sulphur, La., passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025. She was born to her late parents, John and Mildred LeJuine on Feb. 12, 1959 in Sulphur. She loved the outdoors, and enjoyed tending to her plants and animals. Tammy was also known to have rescued some wild animals, including baby ducks, birds, possums, and even a turkey vulture. Tammy enjoyed arts and crafts and even won awards for her projects. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, whom she loved very much. 

She is survived by her husband of nearly 20 years, Jeffery Clay Hudgins; children, Valerie Kay Cain (Larry) of Hackberry, La., Eva Kathleen Smith of Sulphur, La., Shawn Dwayne Smith (Connie) of Castlewood, Va., Lisa Nicole Smith (David) of Houston, Texas, Shawn Marie Northcutt (James) of Cabot, Ark., Ariel Thiess Hudgins of Little Rock, Ark., Gareth Ruel Freeman Hudgins of Little Rock, Ark., and Griffin Clay Hudgins (Anna) of West Fork, Ark.; siblings, Ann Jones of Westlake, La., Mark LeJuine (Trudy) of Lake Charles, La., Emma Jean Clark of Cedar Creek, Texas, and Eddie LeJuine (Michelle) of Hackberry, La.; 17 grandchildren, along with three great-grandchildren. 

Tammy is preceded in death by her parents, along with her siblings, Ronnie Lee LeJuine, Linda Laviolet, and Shelby Kay Jacobs.

A Celebration of Tammy’s life will be at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home in Sulphur, La. on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 2 p.m., with Bro. Monte Rowse officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, beginning at 12 p.m. until the time of the service.
