This year’s celebrity lineup includes John Glover, best known as Lionel Luthor on “Smallville”; Walter Jones, the original Black Ranger from “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers”; Nicole De Boer, Lt. Ezri Dax on the final season of “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine”; anime voice actors Landon McDonald, Ben Stegmair, Celeste Perez and Cory J. Phillips; Dana Snyder, voice of Master Shake from “Aqua Teen Hunger Force”; and Rikki Simons, voice of GIR from “Invader ZIM.”

Local and regional artists Ashley Gates, Jim Ferguson, Randall Ensley and Louisiana-based comic book artists Derec Donovan and Anthony Figaro, will also be on hand.

All celebrities, guests, fan groups, writers and artists will be available for meet-and-greets and autographs and more than 80 vendors will be in place offering merchandise and collectibles.

Cyphacon takes place across the Lake Charles Event Center, utilizing the Exhibition Hall, Contraband Room, Mezzanine, Buccaneer and Jean Lafitte Rooms, and the James Sudduth Coliseum. On the second floor, there will also be the CyphaKids area with spaces to paint, host half-hour storytime segments and create slime with the Louisiana Ghostbusters.

Doors are open 5 p.m.-midnight Friday; 9 a.m.-midnight Saturday; and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. Weekend passes are $15 for children 7-12 and $75 for those 13 and older. Single-day passes are $10 for children per day and, for adults, $30 Friday and Sunday and $45 on Saturday. Children 6 and under are free and a military discount of $5 is offered on any day or weekend pass.

New this year is the Haunts and Histories walking tour of downtown Lake Charles. “Spirit guides” will lead one-hour tours weaving ghostly tales with a little bit of history, sprinkled with paranormal encounters that have been experienced at the sites. Tickets are separate from Cyphacon entrance fees and are $12. The tours will be 6 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and 6 p.m. Saturday.
