Buller remains in the Jeff Davis Parish Jail with bond set at $1,075,000.

According to Louisiana State Police Troop D, the deputy stopped to assist Buller, who was walking on La. 99, just north of Welsh, in poor weather conditions and a poorly lit area. During this interaction, a physical altercation occurred in which Buller is accused of grabbing the deputy’s taser and using it against him. Buller then attempted to take the deputy’s patrol car.

During the incident, the deputy discharged a firearm, but Buller was unharmed.

Deputies and officers arrived at the scene and took Buller into custody without further incident. Both the deputy and Buller were transported to local hospitals for treatment of non-life threatening injuries sustained during the altercation.
