ROADWORK: Upcoming road closures across the region

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces the following closures on Interstate 10 westbound will take place 8 p.m. Monday, March 31, through 5 a.m. Tuesday, April 1: I-10 westbound right lane as well as Exit 27; the lane closure will begin on the east side of the Calcasieu River Bridge. Motorists attempting to exit I-10 westbound to La. 378, Sampson Street, should continue along I-10 westbound to U.S. 90 exit. Merge onto U.S. 90 then, take the next exit, PPG Drive. At PPG Drive, take the I-10 eastbound entrance ramp to merge on to I-10 Eastbound. Continue along I-10 Eastbound to Exit 27, La. 378.

The Louisiana DOTD announces nightly lane closures along I-10 Westbound will take place from 8 p.m.-5 a.m., starting Sunday, March 30, through Monday, March 31: I-10 WB 500 feet before PPG Drive Overpass, ending 500 feet before I-210 on-ramp from I-10 westbound, plus there will be ramp and auxiliary lane closures from the PPG Drive on-ramp, onto I-10, continuing to I-210 off-ramp, Exit 25 as well as the PPG Drive entrance ramp on to I-10 westbound. Motorists should enter I-10 eastbound from PPG Drive and exit on I-10 eastbound at Exit 27 (La. 378) then enter I-10 westbound from La. 378. The lanes will be tapered to allow entrance to open lanes on I-10. An alternate detour route will be PPG Drive to US 90, continuing along US 90 to La. 108 and take La. 108 to the I-10 Westbound on-ramp.

The Louisiana DOTD announces intermittent shoulder closures in multiple locations on Interstate 10 7 a.m.-5 p.m. daily through Friday, April 25: I-10 eastbound and westbound: All corresponding service roads from Prater Road / Bayou D’Inde Pass Road to Kirkman Street. These shoulder closures will primarily be on service roads. There will be some shoulder closures on mainline I-10 where it is deemed necessary for safety or accessibility. These closures are necessary to conduct guardrail and cable barrier repair, bridge inspection and repair, roadway repair and inspection, drainage repair and maintenance, traffic sign repair or replace, debris pickup, as well as roadway lighting inspection and repairs.

The Louisiana DOTD announces the right lane of Interstate 10 eastbound and westbound from the Texas State Line to Exit 4 (U.S. 90) will be closed 8 p.m. Saturday, March 29, until noon Sunday, March 30. The closure is necessary for crews to remove temporary concrete barrier.

Drivers should expect lane closures on Oak Grove Drive until 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 15 for the installation of potable waterlines adjacent to the roadway. There are no detours, but contractors will have 100-250-foot single lane closures at various times at installment locations. Drivers should expect delays and are asked to use caution when driving in the area.

Manchester Road will be closed 1,200 feet north of Lane Road through 5 p.m. Friday, April 4 for cross pipe replacement. Drivers traveling south on Manchester Road should detour west on Farm Road, go south on La. 397, head east on La. 3059 and then turn south on Manchester Road. Drivers traveling north on Manchester Road will need to head west on Lane Road, go north on La. 397, go east to Farm Road and then head north onto Manchester Road. Detour signs will be posted.
