Amy Michelle Dyson

Amy Michelle Dyson, 44, a lifelong resident of Cameron Parish, passed from this life on March 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. 

Amy was a loving and caring mother, sister, and aunt. Ms. Dyson will forever be remembered for her tenacious personality and her ability to stand up for herself. She was a deckhand for her father’s company, Dyson Prime Seafood. She loved tending her flowers, watching Disney movie cartoons, eating crawfish, and going to the beach. She was a proud graduate of Parkview Baptist Academy. 

Amy is preceded in death by her grandparents, Clarence and Ludie Dyson, and Carolyn and James Booth, as well as several aunts and uncles.

Ms. Dyson is survived by her two children, Eric Nunez and Lexie Dyson; her parents, Phillip and Kathleen Smith Dyson; her sister, Lisa Dickens and her husband Terry; brother, Phillip Ceceil Dyson II, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. Cremation has been entrusted to Lakeside Funeral Home.
