James O. Vincent, 71, of Carlyss, La. passed away peacefully on March 22, 2025, surrounded with love and family. He was known for his heart of gold, sound advice and helping hand. He touched many lives with his kindness. James was a 1971 Sulphur High graduate.

He is survived by daughter, Jenny Vincent of Carlyss; son, Jason Vincent of Dallas, Texas and daughter-in-law, Tosha Vincent of Shepherdsville, Ky.; grandchildren, Kyle Vincent, Dylan Vincent, Reyna Vincent, Ava Mueller and Liam Harvey; siblings, Margaret Vincent, Roger Vincent (wife, Diana), and Judith Perry; stepchildren, step-grandchildren-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends. 

He was predeceased in life by wife, Marcia (Djerf) Vincent; son, Eric Vincent; parents, Melvin and Delores Vincent, and brothers, Dale Michael and Ralph Vincent.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur. The visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur. Burial will be at Mimosa Pines South Cemetery.
