Services for Timothy “Benny” Tyler will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2025, in the chapel of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Dry Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025, and will resume on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 9 a.m. until the time of service.
Timothy Bernard “Benny” Tyler passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025. He was 36 years old.
Benny was born June 2, 1988, in Lake Charles, La. He grew up in Dry Creek, La., and attended K-12 at East Beauregard High School. He enjoyed playing the baritone throughout his junior high and high school years.
He was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church and worked summers at Dry Creek Baptist Camp, facilitating adventure recreation, low and high ropes courses, rifle range, and archery.
After high school he attended Louisiana Tech University, where he made many lifelong friends and met Emma Ecroyd, the love of his life. They married on May 20, 2017, and built their life together in Alexandria, La., with the support of Benny’s hard work as a fiber optics technician.
Benny was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Cleo Tyler; maternal grandfather, Elwood Granger; brother, Frank Tyler III; and nephew, Brant Tyler.
Left to cherish his memory and antics are his wife, Emma Tyler; parents, Frank and Debra Tyler; maternal grandmother, Wanda Granger; brother, Christopher Tyler; nephews, Owen, Gage, Barrett, and Bryant Tyler; niece, Karsyn Tyler; and great-niece, Drew Beck Tyler.
Pallbearers honored to serve are Sterling Teasley, Billy Prince, Joeseph Koelling, Ronnie Bryan, James Raborn, and Jonathan Dunlap.
