Fulton Joseph Manuel, 89, of Vinton passed away Monday, March 10, 2025, in his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was a lifelong Vinton resident and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Vinton. After graduating from Vinton High, Fulton studied at McNeese State University before joining the United States Army. He was a self-employed contractor working for Mr. R.E. Odom for over 50 years. He loved people and making new friends. Fulton enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his love of life, positive outlook and deep devotion to his family.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of almost 67 years, Norma Jean Monceaux Manuel; his children, Lisa Richard and husband, Raymond, Wendy Manuel, Terri Manuel Dickerson and husband, Johnny, and Micheal Manuel and Jon Reaud. He will also be missed by his seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and his sister, Erlene Drounet.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Larence Manuel and Aileen Trahan Manuel; infant son, Ted Allen Manuel, and siblings, Austin, Ethel, Joyce, Shirley and Elaine.
A celebration of Fulton’s life will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, March 14, 2025, at Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur. Visitation will be held 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday. Services will be officiated by Ronald Young.
