ROADWORK: Upcoming road closures across the region

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced the right lane of Interstate 10 Eastbound before Exit 8 will be closed from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. today, March 3. The closure is necessary for roadway maintenance.
The left lanes along U.S. 171 Northbound from Interstate 10 to north of Moeling Street will be closed from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5. The closure is necessary for crews to conduct roadway repairs.
Gauthier R0ad — between Fairfax Drive and Estate Lane — will close beginning Wednesday, March 5, to replacement of an old bridge pipe crossing with a new concrete box bridge. Drivers traveling east on E. Gauthier Road should turn north at Corbina Road, turn east at La.. 14, turn south at La. 397, and turn west on E. Gauthier Road. Motorists traveling west on E. Gauthier Road should detour north on La. 397, turn west on La. 14, turn south on Corbina Road, and turn east on E. Gauthier Road. Drivers should expect delays and are asked to use caution when driving in the area.
The left lane of Interstate 10 Eastbound from Mile Marker 43.8 to Mile Marker 46 will be closed from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. Thursday, March 6. The closure is necessary for work related to H.002980.
