Nathan “Redbone” Alton Foreman

Nathan “Redbone” Alton Foreman, 87, of Sulphur, passed away on Monday, Feb. 24, 2025. He was born on June 12, 1937 in Breaux Bridge, La. He loved taking care of his lawn, especially cutting his grass. He was a faithful member of the Open Door Biker Church in Sulphur. Redbone enjoyed riding bicycles from Sulphur to DeQuincy with his grandson, Bo for many years. He also enjoyed listening to Cajun Music and Hank Williams Sr.

He is survived by his two children, Keith Foreman (Donna) of Ragley and Kerrye Soileau (Dennis) of Sulphur; one grandson, Bo Foreman (Rachel) of Iowa, La.; along with two great-grandchildren, Zack Foreman and Jacob Foreman. 

Redbone is preceded in death by his wife, Mattie Foreman; his parents; favorite pet companion, Sparky, along with numerous brothers and sisters.

A Celebration of Redbone’s life will be held at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home in Sulphur, La. on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025, at 10 a.m., with Bro. Jay Lawson officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery North in Sulphur, La.
