Bobbie Jean Pitre Captain

Bobbie Jean Pitre Captain, born on Sept. 19, 1960, to the proud parents Mildred and Wild Bill Pitre in Beaumont, Texas, passed away peacefully. Bobbie was primarily raised in Kinder, La., and was a 1978 graduate of Sam Houston High School. She proudly served in the National Guard from 1978 to 1982.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her beloved oldest sister, Eva Marie Pitre; her father, Wild Bill Pitre, and her nephew, Henry Martin Jackson.

She leaves behind her daughter, Megan, and son-in-law, Marcus Rankins, whom she loved dearly. Also mourning her loss are her mother, Mildred Fontenot of Lake Charles, La.; three brothers, William Pitre of Lake Charles, La., Leroy Pitre of Kinder, La., and Robert (Cynarra) Pitre of Cheek, Texas, and three sisters, Jean (William) Brown of Lake Charles, La., Elsie (Henry) Jackson of Moss Bluff, La., and Rosalie (Earl) Ray of Lake Charles, La. Bobbie will also be fondly remembered by her three godchildren, Kayla Brown Gill, Chisolm Kelly, and Jeremy Kelly, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Bobbie’s life will be held on Friday, Feb. 21, 2025. The viewing will take place at Combre Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by the funeral service at St. Henry’s Catholic Church. Bobbie will be laid to rest at Combre Memorial Park.
