A 33-year-old Lake Charles man was charged Wednesday with indecent behavior with a juvenile.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Kayla Vincent said Special Victims Unit detectives received a tip on Oct. 23 from Women Against Predators in reference to an indecent behavior complaint.

“During the investigation, detectives were advised Jacob W. Manuel was having sexually explicit conversations with someone he believed to be a 13-year-old girl,” Vincent said. “Manuel also sent sexually explicit images during the conversations.”

Detectives conducted a thorough investigation and were able to corroborate the information from the organization, Vincent said.

Manuel was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with indecent behavior with a juvenile.  His bond is still pending.
