LC man accused of beating, robbing 85-year-old

A Lake Charles man accused of robbing and beating an 85-year-old man has turned himself in without incident.
Lake Charles Police Lt. Jeffrey Keenum said at 10:59 p.m. Jan. 25, officers were assigned to the 3100 block of General Twining in reference to a battery.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim and learned Ronald Duhon struck him several times, then stole items from him — including taking his vehicle. The man was transported to a local hospital for his injuries.
Duhon is charged with armed robbery, aggravated second-degree battery, battery of the infirm, and theft of a motor vehicle. His bond was set at $105,000 by Judge Fazzio.
Due to the severity of the victim’s injuries, the victim was transported to an out of town medical facility.
