Unsettled weather will return to Southwest Louisiana on Sunday bringing showers and isolated thunderstorms through Monday.
National Weather Service Lake Charles Storm Warning Meteorologist Doug Cramer said the higher chances for rainfall begin at 6 pm Sunday and will continue through about 6 am on Monday.
Temperatures are expected to reach the mid-60s Sunday and Monday.
Cramer said a second “robust storm system” will impact the region late next week with a risk of thunderstorms and heavy rain as a low-pressure system will develop across the central and southern Plains.
The storm is expected to reach the area Wednesday night and stay into Saturday.
