LC Memorial clinics, outpatient services, elective surgery centers to close for weather

As winter weather conditions are expected to continue from early Tuesday morning through Wednesday in SWLA, Lake Charles Memorial Health System will begin weather-related closures and operational changes beginning Monday evening, January 20. The safety of patients, their families, and our employees is remain top priority.
The following closures will take place across Lake Charles Memorial Health System facilities and locations Tuesday, January 21 – Wednesday, January 22:
  • All LCMHS clinics
  • All outpatient services
  • All elective surgeries and procedures
  • All diagnostic locations (imaging and laboratory services)
Care teams will be contacting patients to reschedule appointments and procedures.
At this time, Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, Lake Charles Memorial Hospital for Women, and Archer Institute all remain open and operational for essential services only, including the emergency department at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital on Oak Park Blvd.
Health system officials encourage the public to use caution and adhere to the advice of local officials regarding driving conditions. If it is not safe to drive, please stay home. Caregivers and family members may call 337.494.3000 to speak to a hospitalized loved one or their care team.
