Terry Ortego, 92, passed away peacefully on Dec. 31, 2024.

A man of deep devotion, Terry’s faith defined his life. His faith wasn’t just something he spoke about; it was the foundation of how he lived.

Terry stood firm in his beliefs, worked tirelessly, and faced life’s challenges with courage and grace. Terry’s most cherished roles were those of husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. 

As a father, Terry led by example, teaching his children what it meant to be strong yet compassionate men, and his love for his wife Wanda was unmatched lasting 71 years.

Though Terry will be greatly missed, we know that he is now walking on the streets of gold with the Lord.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, Jan. 6, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff, with a graveside service to follow at Griffin Hills Cemetery in Bunkie, La., at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will be open to the public on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff and will resume Monday morning at 9 a.m. before the funeral service.
