Stratigos Dynamics Inc., the business that provides security at Calcasieu Parish public schools, has announced that it will be filing for bankruptcy.

The School Board said it was notified Jan. 3 Of the company’s decision.

“A notice was sent to all clients of SDI with no prior communication taking place from the company’s leadership,” said CPSB spokesperson Holly Holland. “We, as a district, immediately began working on alternate plans for security, as SDI has provided security on 38 of our campuses for the last several years.”

Holland said the safety of “students and staff remains our priority, and we are actively working on a path forward to continue to ensure the security of our campuses.”

“We have notified our administrative teams, and we will continue to provide updates to our families as developments occur,” she said. “We appreciate patience and understanding in this matter.”
