The city of Lake Charles is teaming up with Christus Ochsner Health Southwestern Louisiana and LifeShare Blood Center to host a series of blood drives in an effort to assist victims of the New Year’s Day attack in New Orleans.

The blood drives will take place as follows:

Today, Jan. 3

10 a.m.– 2 p.m. at CHRISTUS Ochsner St. Patrick Hospital South Atrium (524 Dr. Michael DeBakey Dr.)

10 a.m.–5 p.m. at Lake Charles City Hall (326 Pujo St.)

Saturday, Jan. 4

10 am – 2 pm at Historic City Hall (1001 Ryan St.)

LifeShare Blood Center is in contact with all New Orleans hospitals and is on standby to provide blood products as needed.
