Louisiana also broke the single-day in-person record on the final day of early voting, with 103,456 Louisianans voting on Tuesday, Oct. 29. The previous record was 99,004 on the final day of early voting in 2020.

“I’m pleased that so many Louisianans have already made their voices heard in this election,” Sec. Landry said.

She said those who did not take advantage of early voting can still vote on Election Day, Nov. 5, between 6 a.m.- 8 p.m.

The deadline to request an absentee ballot is 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, and the deadline to return an absentee ballot is 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 4.
