Cheryl Fontenot was called home into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024. She leaves behind her loving husband, Donald; four children, Brandon Fontenot and Stacy, Blake Fontenot, Bradley Fontenot, and Ashleigh Clark and Eric; mother, Jane and a legacy of grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Franklin Penna; son, Brian; sister, Cynthia, and brother, Gregory.
The world is simply a better place because Cheryl was in it. She made the good days great and the bad days better. Sharing all that she had with anyone in need, she was the most selfless person to all. She joyfully loved Jesus with her whole heart, and was happy to tell everyone about all the ways that God had provided, to point them to her sweet Savior. She selflessly poured herself into her husband, children, grandchildren, friends, family and church family.
Cheryl will be deeply missed by many and welcomed with celebration by Jesus. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2, at 10 a.m. at First Moss Bluff Church. Her visitation will be Friday, Nov. 1, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home. Interment will be at Hebert Cemetery. The Rev. E.J. McCann will officiate.
