Jamice Marie Courville Peace, 77, a resident of Lake Charles, La., passed from this life on Oct. 21, 2024, in the comfort of her home.

Jamice will forever be remembered as a loving mother, partner, and friend. She loved spending time with her family and friends and gaming at the casino with Philip. In her younger years, Jamice crafted and played bingo. She worked two jobs to provide for her children and retired from L’Auberge Casino and Resort. 

Ms. Peace is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Gertrude Cummings Courville; her daughter, Keitha Kouba; her brother, Clint Courville, and her sister, Debra Long.

Jamice leaves to cherish her memory her life partner, Philip Sensat; her daughters, Rachael Fuller and Gene Marie Heinemann, and her husband, Ross; her grandchildren, Torie Heinemann, Dylan Heinemann, Amberly Worley, Cody Fuller, Destanie Granger, Taylor Mitchell, and Jordan Reviere; eight great-grandchildren; her sister, Tara Richard and her husband, Scott, and her brother, Marty Courville. 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2024, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home. A rosary will be prayed at 1 p.m. Cremation will follow the service.
