A second Moss Bluff Middle School student has been arrested in as many weeks for threatening violence at the school.
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Kayla Vincent said detectives responded to the school in reference to a threat made by a student Tuesday afternoon.
Vincent said a 13-year-old threatened to bring a gun to school.
“It was also learned the boy made the threat while at school to multiple students,” Vincent said. “After further investigation, he was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center and charged with terrorizing-menacing.”
In a separate case, a 13-year-old Moss Bluff Middle student was charged with terrorizing 12 days ago. In that case, Vincent said the teenager made threats to “be the next school shooter.”
In both cases, Vincent said the Calcasieu Parish School Board assisted CPSO with the investigation.
