Romona “Mona” Rose Wall

Romona Rose “Mona” Wall, 95, of Lake Charles, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2024, at a local care facility. Mona was born in Krotz Springs, La. on Feb. 13, 1929, to Clint and Stella Richard.
Mona met the Love of her Life, James, at the baseball field and spent many years after that watching him coach various little league teams. They spent 59 wonderful years experiencing life together enjoying walks and their daily lunch dates. She looked forward to spending time with her children and grandchildren especially for the holidays.
Mona is survived by her loving children, Ellen Hebert and husband, Kenneth, Scott Wall and wife, Leeann, and Polly Thompson and husband, Bobby. Her memory will be cherished by her grandchildren, Kevin Wall and wife, Pam, Elizabeth Cormier and husband, Shane, Jared Hebert and wife, Katie, and Amanda Thompson, as well as, her great-grandchildren, Alex, Blake, and Dylan Wall, Cadyn and Payton LeBert, and Whitley Cormier.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 59 years, James “Jim” Wall Jr., and a grandson, Chad Wall.
A Rite of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 7, 2024, at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, 4321 Lake St., Lake Charles, LA 70605. Entombment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. and continue Monday from 9 a.m. until service time.
