Pearly Bee Mitchell, 78, departed this life on Monday, Sept. 23, 2024, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, La. She was born Feb. 13, 1946, to Albert McMahon and Louella Bradley in Oberlin, La., in the Moeling Community.
She graduated from Carver High School in Kinder, La. and National Beauty College in Lake Charles, La. She was married to Tommy Ray Mitchell on Nov. 22, 1986 until his death in 2008. She worked at Kaufman Elementary as a cafeteria tech until her retirement. She loved doing hair, fishing, cooking and spoiling the kids rotten.
She leaves to cherish her memories two brothers, JC McMahon (Betty Ann) of Oberlin, La. and Sugar Ray McMahon of Mississippi; numerous nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, and other cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert McMahon and Louella Bradley; her husband, Tommy Ray Mitchell; three sisters, Maxine Cole, Margie Reeves and Georgia Slate; six brothers, Albert McMahon Jr., John D. McMahon, Charles McMahon Sr., James W. McMahon, Clyde McMahon, and William Ardoin and numerous sisters and brothers-in-law.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024, at 9 a.m., and funeral Service at 11 a.m., at King’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery in Kinder, La. under the direction of King’s Funeral Home.
