On Sept. 1, 2024, Priscilla Eaglin departed this life at the age of 72, in Oschner Medical Center in New Orleans, La.

She was born Sept. 12, 1951, to Theresa Claridy and Joseph Walter Eaglin, both of Sunset, La.  

She retired from the State of Louisiana where her last years were with W.O. Moss Regional Hospital-Mental Health Department.  She was a graduate of W.O. Boston in 1970. She has worked in the healthcare field for over 30 years as a nursing assistant and loved helping others. She loved the church and was an active member of the Altar and Rosary Society at St. Henry Catholic Church. 

She leaves to mourn her daughter, Mrs. Tonya Eaglin-Williams and son-n-law, Greg Williams of  Newnan, Ga.; grandson, Michael Eaglin of Daytona Beach, Fla.; stepmother, Peggy Eaglin of Abbeville, La.; siblings, Aileen Claridy of New Orleans, La., Tommy Claridy of Lake Charles, La., Patsy White of New Orleans, La., Johnny  Savoy of Cerritos, Calif., Mary Munoz of N. Las Vegas, Nev., Leotha Eaglin Modster of Atlanta, Ga.,  Neina Charlotte White of Houston, Texas,  John Dewey Eaglin of Rancho Cucamongo, Calif., Leo Eaglin of Ft. Worth, Texas,  Moses Eaglin of Lake Charles, La. and Timothy Eaglin of Abbeville, La.

She was preceded in her death by her mother, Theresa Claridy; father, Walter Eaglin; stepfather, Cleo Claridy; two brothers, Joseph Walter Eaglin Jr. and Abdul Al-Husani, and one sister, Stella Griffin.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024 at 9 a.m. at King’s Funeral Home and funeral service at 11 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church with burial services following at Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of King’s Funeral Home.
