John  R. LeDoux

John Rolleris LeDoux, 85, a resident of Lake Charles, passed peacefully from this life onto his eternal reward on Sept. 1, 2024, in the comfort of his home.

Mr. LeDoux was a diesel mechanic for the majority of his life, working for himself, Sweetlake Land and Oil, and finally, the City of Lake Charles. He later served as a Deputy Marshal with the Ward 3 City Marshals office and a Deputy with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Department. John also served as an usher and security guard at Livingway Pentecostal Church, where he and his wife worshiped. He served honorably in the United States Army and the United States Navy. Mr. LeDoux was a good husband and father and worked diligently to provide for his family.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Issac and Gertie Stelly LeDoux, and his brother, Whindell LeDoux.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 33 years, Joyce Louise Doiron LeDoux; his five sons, Joe LeDoux and his wife Lisa; Alvin LeDoux and his wife Pam; Billy LeDoux and his wife Denise; Robert LeDoux and John Hardy LeDoux, daughter, Ann Guillory and companion Troy Lasha and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024 in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until time of service at 3 p.m. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024. Pastor Brent Keating is to officiate. Burial with military honors will be held at the Southwest Louisiana Veteran’s Cemetery at a later date.
