Dianne Thibodeaux Bertrand

Dianne Elayne Thibodeaux Bertrand, age 81, of Lake Charles, La. passed from life to eternal life with Jesus Christ on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2024.

She loved Jesus, her husband, family and friends.

John 6:47- “Let me firmly assure you, he who believes (In Jesus) has eternal life.”

John 14:21- “He who loves me will be loved by My Father. I (Jesus) too will love her and reveal myself to her.”

She was born in Lake Charles and after graduation she attended Business College.

While working she attended Loyola Limex and received a certificate in Ministry, a certificate in Inner Healing from the National Institute of Inner Healing, and she received a certificate in Spiritual Direction from the Diocese of Lake Charles.

Dianne worked for Lake Charles Memorial Hospital where she held a variety of positions including secretary, administrative secretary, payroll, scheduling and staffing entire nursing staff, human resources clerk, nurse recruiter, and employment manager. She then worked for five years at an employment agency as a HealthCare Recruiter. Dianne was appointed and held the position for many years of Coordinator of the Center for Jesus of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, Inc. under the direction of Father Oris Broussard. Dianne served on the Steering Committee for the Catholic Charismatic Renewal and the Board of Director of CCR-Incorporated. She spent remaining years after retirement with her husband and maintained her service to the Lord Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Survivors include her beloved husband Levi Bertrand Jr. (since 1972); her brothers, Ronald Dewey Thibodeaux, John Scott Thibodeaux; nieces and nephews, Justin Ronald Thibodeaux, Dewey Garrett Thibodeaux, Fay Lyn Thibodeaux and Jeffrey Luke Thibodeaux; cousins, Lynn Ray, Hunter Lundy, Mathew Lundy, and Jenny Swezey, and one aunt, Patricia Lundy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bernice Gertrude Helms Thibodeaux and Dewey Antoine Thibodeaux; her sisters, Mary Eileen and Patricia Ethel; her brother, Dewey Thibodeaux, and her grandparents, Effie and Williams Helms and Bernadette and Antoine Thibodeaux.

The family will welcome the public for visitation at J. E. Hixson & Sons Funeral Home Thursday, Aug. 29, 2024 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a rosary at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume at J. E. Hixson & Sons Funeral Home Friday, Aug. 30, 2024 at 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church at 1 p.m. The Rev. Joshua Page will officiate. Interment will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
