Vida Marie Bouillion Trahan, 94, of Lake Charles, passed away at a Lake Charles care facility after an extended illness with her family at her side.

Vida was a native of Erath, La. and a longtime resident of Lake Charles. She was a career military wife, traveling all over the world with her husband, Elvis. The couple made Lake Charles their permanent home in 1967.  They continued raising the family that they began in the many different places that Elvis was stationed with the Army.

Vida was proud of her family and took great pride in them. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, ceramics and proudly proclaimed the role of wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a devoted member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lake Charles, where she served on the Altar Society and faithfully served as a Catholic Daughter as well as in many other capacities within the church.
