LC man wins $2 million lottery jackpot

BATON ROUGE – On a roll since March 23, the Louisiana Lottery’s $2,030,907 Lotto jackpot was finally won during the Aug. 3 drawing by a single ticket sold at Raceway MLK on North MLK Hwy in Lake Charles. The store received a selling bonus of $20,309.07, equal to 1% of the prize.

Lake Charles resident Christopher Archinard claimed the prize on Monday and received $1,457,175.77 after state and federal tax withholdings. The winning Lotto numbers for the Aug. 3 drawing were 03-07-08-12-27-39. This is the third Lotto jackpot-winning ticket sold this year; the other two were sold in Coushatta and Kenner.

For security purposes, the Lottery strongly encourages players to sign the back of their tickets immediately after purchasing.
