Damon Wade Reeves

PFC Damon Wade Reeves, United States Army, 21, of Fairbanks, Alaska, died on Saturday July 13, 2024 while on leave in Moss Bluff.
PFC Reeves was a native and lifelong resident of the Moss Bluff area before enlisting in the United States Army. He completed the Youth Challenge Program and joined the Army in 2023. Damon enjoyed the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing and was an intelligent and bright young man who was a loving son, grandson, brother and friend to many.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, April Gibson Holden and stepfather, Dewey Holden of Moss Bluff; his father, John Adam Reeves, of Topsy; sisters, Laken Reeves and Lacie Daigle; maternal grandfather, Robert Ray Reeves of Topsy; paternal grandparents, and numerous cousins and extended family of the heart. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Ruby Pearl Gibson, and paternal grandparents, Douglas and Carol Reeves.
Graveside services, with full military honors, were observed at the Southwest Louisiana Veteran’s Cemetery in Jennings on Monday, July 22, 2024, with burial following on the grounds of the cemetery.
