Excessive rainfall expected through Thursday

A flood watch has been issued for Southwest Louisiana through 7 a.m. Thursday as excessive rainfall is expected to inundate the area throughout today.
Four to eight inches —with localized heavier amounts — is possible and conditions will be favorable for flash flooding, according to National Weather Service’s Lake Charles Senior Meteorologist Donovan Landreneau.
